Elements which decided the future of innovation - on the point of view of knowledge
Knowledge development is the core activity of innovation. Any judge towards innovation future can not be separated itself with rules and trends of Knowledge development. I believe knowledge is consisted organically. This means that new knowledge is developed from former knowledge through interrelationship building by human brain between new stimulus and existing knowledge. Like bios, knowledge development is through growing.
Knowledge is the results of thinking. Man can only think by their existing knowledge. Thinking is the ability to relate new information, new problem (called new stimulus) to existing knowledge, to acquire new concepts or new cognitions through reaching some kinds of explanation by existing knowledge. New knowledge is the process of extension, penetration, moisten and diffusion of existing knowledge. In point’s view of knowledge, innovation can not leap off.
As the basis of thinking, not only the existing knowledge provides materials of thinking, but also provides the start points of new knowledge, logistics and methodologies of thinking. Thinking basis is a system which includes both specific group of knowledge of a person and his inference, reasoning ability with respect to a certain area. This knowledge system is rather a “knowledge gene” than anything others. It is consists of interrelated knowledge and information. The relationship may be cause and effects, essence and appearance, form and content, logistics or dialectical. Good knowledge gene is reliable and inside relationships is stable. While piecemeal knowledge (e.g. fewer rough understanding of things) can be called segments of knowledge. Knowledge gene play functions as building basis, indicating directions, constraining domains in knowledge development.
While new stimulus is the source of introducing new thinking, provides new source of thinking materials. New stimulus comes from environment around the thinker. People can only produce innovation relating to his own environment.
Knowledge gene exists within the brain of people who has knowledge. New information or new knowledge can be combined with a certain knowledge gene; such as to extend, delete or reform segments of the original gene. In this way, new knowledge gene comes into being.
Knowledge gene, new stimulus, thinking ability is three great resources which decide the innovation ability in point of view of knowledge. The quality of knowledge gene is decided by peoples learning. The quality of new stimulus is decided by social, economic and technology environment. The thinking ability is decided by intellectual power which again is decided by human development itself.
The endowments of these three resources can decide the innovation ability of a nation. The mission of innovationists is to bring these resources into full play. There are three mechanisms to promote innovation:
‘Innovation Ba’ mechanism: knowledge developing through knowledgeable mass gathering and communicating to have knowledge gene/gene segments interaction between each other; Activation mechanism: cultural and psychological adjustments so as to create an atmosphere of boundaryless cooperation within innovation bas; Catalysis mechanism: Teaching, coaching, consulting, coordinating are functions of catalysis which greatly accelerating combination of knowledge gene and gene segments.
Accordingly, the developed countries will still the main forces of innovation. China needs another 20-30 years to become the major innovator of the world.
Not strictly, we define knowledge as what we learn, what we feel, and what we think.
Knowledge in broad sense includes information and knowledge.
Without doubt, knowledge is the miracle power of human brain.
Explanations means to get some kinds of view: reasonable or not reasonable, understanding or not understanding, agree or not agree, so as to get various kinds of thinking relationship.
